Ignite: Leave it at the Cross

Have you ever wondered what goes on in the brain of a 4th or 5th grader?

If so, you're not alone. We had a cool opportunity to do just this while ministering to young, preteen hearts. On Good Friday, we had them write down things they needed to "leave at the cross": sins, situations, issues at home, anything; and they laid all that and more.

Some are deeply serious and heart wrenching; others, well, just read on...
Give me strength to face the difficulty in my life

My friend stole a cell phone eraser for me and I feel guilty

My parents argue

My cats fight [picture of cat]

Worried about what the future holds

My dad has no job and he fights with my mom

Once I didn't eat my sandwich during lunch time when I said I did

Dumping this one chick and making fun of her

That my mom and step dad will get divorced and I'll have to go through the same thing over again

As you can tell, many of them really got it, and our work is not in vain! Don't doubt for a moment that you had a part in this. God is working in you and through you to guide them towards Him. Thank you for making real change in the lives of kids!
I thank my God every time I think of you
