This has been a summer full of change for The Zone. We have seen to KEY elementary team leaders leave as Pete left for school with his wife Bree, and Cary left to continue her education and to invest into her family.
As I look at the landscape of The Zone I am struck by a few things.
First, I am sad that two close friends and partners in ministry are gone. The place is just not the same without them.
Second, I recognize the fact that both Cary and Pete left becasue of a calling God was placing on their heart. it was God who called them away. Had they stayed here, they would have not been where God wanted them. Just as they were not supposed to stay here, someone out there is begginng to have their heart stirred by God and they are on their way here! (Even if they don't know it yet)! God has perfect replacements selected and in his time, they will join our team!
Third, we have an AMAZING team of volunteers. As I have had conversations with you, I have been struck by how committed you are not to us as staff, or to this church as a building, but rather you are committed to the kids and families that come to cornerstone! thank you so much for this commitment. I have no doubt that who ever enters the new elementary position will be deeply honored to be able to work along side such a GREAT team.
